China (mainland) Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, a leading global provider of next-generation telecommunications network solutions, has announced that it has been selected by Mobily, a mobile operator in Saudi Arabia, as its managed service partner under a three-year multi-vendor agreement. Under the agreement, Huawei will be responsible for network operation, back office, field operation and network optimization. Moreover, it will be maintaining multi-vendor telecom equipment and acting on behalf of Mobily to manage multi-vendor spare parts and third level support. Liu Peng, VP for Middle East for Delivery & Service, said that Huawei’s support will further allow Mobily to become more market-focused and customer-oriented through service innovation, as well as shorten its time to market for new services. Huawei will continue to support its customers in developing the latest service solutions, and growing its managed services business in the telecoms operator market to reduce their OPEX and better utilizing the CAPEX.
