China (mainland) – The FD-289 from Quanzhou Licheng Feidaxin Electronics Co. Ltd is a 52x98x30mm two-way radio with built-in 50 CTCSS groups and 104+1 DCS groups. The 16ch model operates within 136MHz to 174MHz, 400MHz to 470MHz and 410MHz to 480MHz frequency ranges, with 12.5kHz/25kHz channel spacing compatibility and about 7kHz operating bandwidth. It uses F3E modulation type EIA-RS 316B transmitter that has a distortion of less than 5 percent (300Hz to 3,000Hz) and frequency deviation of less than 5kHz (1,000kHz at 100 percent). Power output is 5W/4W. The 198g handheld two-way radio’s receiver uses 16KOF3E modulation with 500mW audio power output when distortion is less than 10. It has 0.16μV sensitivity (12dB SINAD), 55dB selectivity and about 70dB adjacent channel selectivity, about 60dB noise response and 45dB/40dB FM noise. Its operating range is 3km to 5km in downtown areas. Other features of the rain-resistant two-way radio include a 50ohm antenna impedance, scan function, TOT and monitor functions, low battery alert and battery save function. The PC-programmable unit comes with rapid charger and a 1,200mAh Li-ion battery that provides up to 120hrs standby time. Operating voltage is 7.2V DC (+/- 10 percent) and working temperature range is -30 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius. Minimum order requirement is 100 units and delivery lead time is 15 to 30 days.
