03 Jun 2008	China's IGRS to become an international 3C standard China’s Intelligent Grouping and Resource Sharing (IGRS) has gained the vote of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to formally become an international 3C standard. The IGRS standard will enable automatic identification, wireless connection and resource sharing among various computing and communications products, such as computers, TVs, projectors, digital cameras and mobile phones, by defining a series of protocol standards.

Each of the tributary E1/T1/E3/T3 signal from the TDM ports or V.35 signals is encapsulated into configurable-sized Ethernet frames or IP packets for transmission over the Ethernet or optical Ethernet ports. Circuit Emulation Services over Ethernet (CESoE) or time-division multiplexing over IP (TDMoIP) are used to transport TDM (E1/T1/E3/T3) or V.35 signals transparently over networks.
